The Gussenstadt biogas plant was set up in 2013 to produce low cost thermal energy for public buildings, schools, sports centres and other municipal facilities. Where’s the innovation? It is a completely flexible plant, which is able to adapt to the seasonal changes in demand for heat, electricity and feedstocks, as well as to the oscillation of the energy price throughout the day.
