Pfizer, the pharmaceutical giant, owns 9 cogeneration plants in locations throughout the world. In Italy, for example, its plant in Ascoli Piceno has been operating to perfection for 10 years, enabling the use of thermal energy to ventilate and heat the work environments. Just one example of how an energy-intense industrial facility can lower its costs and make its production more efficient.
