In the UK, the Clean Growth Strategy, published in 2017, is the document that sets the objectives for reducing emissions and defines the actions to take to achieve them. The government has implemented a number of programs to support companies, but at times the payback period on the investment still remains an obstacle. However, cogeneration continued to grow steadily in the UK and 20% of the electricity produced from cogeneration comes from renewable sources.
