Energy transition: change must start from the cities
Associations
With the so-called “Covenant of Mayors” movement, 10,000 mayors from different European countries are committed to achieving the recent EU climate goals, with activities and local plans aimed at reducing CO2 emissions in cities. The movement embraces the Green Deal and all climate-related actions in order to increase awareness among citizens. Mayors become ambassadors of this project, with the belief that change must happen first and foremost at the local level and therefore cities and towns must have the necessary funding to achieve the goals that have been set.
