Israel: restrictions removed for the installation of cogeneration plants
Market and policy
A group of Israeli cogeneration companies (AB Energy Israel, ITEEO and Rimon Energy), together with the manufacturing sector association, have obtained an important result: the tax for land use charged to companies that intend to install energy efficiency solutions has been eliminated. Through a long process of negotiations with the Ministry and with the bodies in charge, this group of companies has facilitated the removal of an important obstacle for the implementation of projects in the cogeneration field. We asked Moshe Shalom from Rimon Energy to briefly summarize the process and tell us about the state of Israel’s cogeneration market.
