Hydrogen and cogeneration. What are the possibilities for the future?
Technologies and components
A report published by the Rocky Mountain Institute shows that hydrogen can be used in industry to reduce CO₂ emissions and thus achieve decarbonization targets. According to Thomas Koch, currently for industries the combination of natural gas and hydrogen or renewable sources such as biomethane could be the best solution towards decarbonization and some prototypes already exist in Europe as well as in the USA.
