The efficient choice made by Galbani-Lactalis
Industry and tertiary sector
Cogeneration means efficient energy, competitiveness, as well as reduced management costs and lower CO2 emissions. Lactalis, a multinational dairy producer, certainly believed in this. The Galbani Italian factory where cheese and mozzarella are produced, installed a cogeneration plant that produces hot water, electricity and 2.3 t/hour of steam used in the production process and in particular in the CIP (Cleaning in Place) systems. A monitoring system regulates the use of these carriers within the company, a SCR (Selective Catalyst Reduction) system monitors CO2 emissions and sound-absorbing panels isolate the plant, which has already been equipped with a soundproof container.
