Nuremberg: use of CHP saves 600,000 tonnes of CO₂

The city of Nuremberg boasts a CHP plant fuelled by natural gas and woodchips, that guarantees to reduce CO₂ emissions by 600,000 tonnes a year. Energieagentur Nordbayern, an energy agency that operates in northern Bavaria, and the University of Nuremberg are carrying out research into the possibilities of consolidating this technology on the German market.
