Trigeneration and SCR: Spumador produces water and beverages efficiently, respecting the environment
Case history
Installed in 2012 and having undergone a full overhaul in 2019, the Spumador trigeneration plant, beverage company owned by the Refresco brand, is divided into 3 modules. The plant has an electrical power of 3 MW and it also produces steam and water that are used in the production process; it also allows Spumador to save 60,000 tons of CO2, equivalent to 50,000 cars. In 2019, the revamping of the cogeneration system also provided for the installation of an SCR system designed to help reduce C02 emissions and to keep them within the limits set out by the Lombardy region.
