PECO, the Philadelphia energy utility, promotes cogeneration by financing projects by up to 2 million dollars or 50% of their amount. Although the spark spread does not always encourage investments and feasibility needs to be carefully evaluated, PECO has supported numerous projects including the installation of a CHP plant at Villanova University in Pennsylvania.
