An increase in the price of energy efficiency certificates in early 2016. What are the causes?
Market and policy
Like the consumer goods market, the energy efficiency certificates market is variable. There are numerous reasons that led to an increase in the prices of energy efficiency certificates in 2015 and early 2016, including the short market, speculation, erroneous market valuations and the availability of certificates. Fortunately, during 2016 the situation has improved, and the minimum threshold of 60% of certificates purchased out of a total of 4,300,000 available is expected to be reached.
