The incentive systems for cogeneration in Italy can be grouped into three macro areas: according to primary energy consumption, the power source of cogeneration and administrative and managerial simplification. A separate case are white certificates that regulate the incentivisation of high efficiency cogeneration, which will have greater success in the long run.
