Cogeneration not fully exploited in Italy for the residential sector
Market and policy
According to Michele Vio, the potential of residential and tertiary cogeneration has not yet been fully exploited in Italy. Now that the focus is on electrical energy, we could invest in cogeneration for old buildings where electricity can be produced during the night and then used for different purposes during the day. Combining cogeneration with renewable energy could be the best solution.
