Remote monitoring of cogeneration plants
Technologies and components
Remote diagnostics and servicing of cogeneration plants can be done both through classic ISDN analog connections and using the new VPN connections via web. In both cases the customer has direct control over the system and immediate support without having to wait for a technician to arrive on-site. Costs and servicing times are thus significantly reduced. Further advantages of remote servicing are spelled out in this interview with Storm, the European service provider.
